Aenigol (Baengma Hwasarang)
  • Address Entirety of Aenigol-gil, Ilsandong-gu, Goyang-si

Introduction

It's safe to say that if Bamridan Bonnet Street represents a current trend, then Aenigol evokes the '80s and '90s; it can be considered Goyang's original restaurant and café street. Baengma Village, where Sinchon residents traveled by train to create memories with a guitar and a cup of makgeolli in the 1980s, relocated to Pung-dong in 1994 due to the development of a new city. Fortunately, it remains a place where one can discuss old memories and romance. The yellow Aenigol Tree stands at the entrance, greeting visitors. It is the same as the Aenigol symbol, so called because the region has always been known for its stunning autumn foliage. In addition, there is “Baengma Hwasarang,” which is a restoration of Hwasarang, the most renowned location of the 1980s. The 7080 live performance, humanities lectures, and readings are held in this location with a strong analog vibe. It is also a coffee shop, making it a good spot for enjoying conversation. In addition, there are numerous large restaurants and cafés that are suitable for groups and families. Dishes such as broiled Korean beef, chicken, and duck, as well as Western and Chinese cuisine, are readily available. There is also an antique café that served as a filming location for a TV series.
